Crown Books for Young Readers, 2021. 312 pages. Young Adult Mystery/Thriller
A ruthless band of prep-school elites, or the Ivies, competing for admission into the Ivy League colleges of their dreams disrupt class ranks, club leaderships and academic competitions. But, when one of the girls fails to get into Harvard and another girl (or two) does, someone resorts to more deadly measures.
I love a good YA murder mystery and this hits all those boxes. Olivia has always been on the outer edges of the Ivies, mostly because she is a scholarship student at her elite prep school. But, when one of her friends is murdered after being accepted to Harvard University, she suspects that one of their group might be to blame. This is a quick read, with lots of tension, mystery, and a bit of romance all rolled together. There is some strong language, but is a great teen thriller that keeps you guessing until the end.
