Midnight Mass

MIDNIGHT MASS
By F. Paul Wilson
TOR, 2005. 403 pgs. Fiction

In this interesting vampire tale Father Joe Cahill, an undeservedly disgraced Catholic priest, and Sister Carol Hanarty, a nun, strike back against an invasion of vampires and their undead minions. These vampires, in previous months, have taken control of Asia, rolled across Europe, crossed the Atlantic and are setting up shop in North American cities. Modern civilization has come to an abrupt halt, chaos and lawlessness have set in, and many are hard-pressed to find food and stay away from the undead. Some humans, referred to as “cowboys,” actually serve the vampires in exchange for preferential treatment.
