Ward has recently inherited his family’s estate when his father dies on a hunting trip. As Ward is adjusting to his new position and debates whether or not to drop the façade of being the castle idiot the King sends soldiers to take Ward to an asylum. Ward goes on a quest with key members of his family’s household to go about reclaiming his home.
I love Patricia Briggs, I loved listening to this book the reader beautifully portrayed Ward’s deep voice. I really enjoyed Ward’s growth and his awareness of the people around him.
