The daughter of a magistrate and independent heiress, Genevieve Wilde, hires a flirtatious, handsome and unpredictable thief-taker, Jack Travers, to return her stolen pocket watch and amidst increasing attraction the pair uncover a larger plot afoot against her family.
Ginny is smart, independent and not about to stand by and do nothing when her father's pocket watch is stolen. Jack comes across as a bad boy, but he really has a heart of gold. I liked that there were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming. This was a fun clean romance with just the right amount of mystery and adventure.
