Estranged friends Ivy, Mateo, and Cal witness a murder while skipping school, and the only way they can solve it is by revealing what they have been hiding from one another--and themselves.
I know whenever I pick up one of McManus’s books I’m in for suspenseful teen mystery, and this one fits the bill. I appreciate the multiple perspectives from Ivy, Cal, and Mateo, and all three teens have understandable reasons to keep the secrets they do. Their stories and situations have varying levels of relatability, and are complexly woven together in a way that kept me guessing until the end.
